Virtual Family Support Group and Education

We’re Here for You!

Ongoing Family Support Group

Families who have a loved one with a substance use disorder are always on the front line. It is often said that connection to others is the most important part of recovery — that includes recovery for family members. Social distancing and isolation necessary to cope with the COVID-19 outbreak makes these connections even more of a priority. The Mental Health Association in NJ (MHANJ) understands how difficult it is to take care of your own needs when consumed with a family member’s substance use disorder. We’re here to help. Family Members Supporting a Loved One
with Substance Use Disorder

NJ Connect for Recovery is having multiple meetings each week to allow families to connect. These sessions, led by an experienced, trained family peer, will enable participants to support each other, gain helpful coping strategies and discuss ideas on how to practice self-care. We will also work to link families to the most updated information, local support and resources.
